The coffee machine as a magical-meditative transformation machine. It bubbles and steams. Bubbles rise, drops fall. Removing the coffee from the coffee machine and turning water into water makes the transformation process transparent, the magic visible, the language of the machine audible, time tangible. Water to water was shot in one take, in real time, in the kitchen of Kirjailijatalo / Writers House Jyväskylä, Finland. You can hear the original unedited sound of the coffee machine. (Finland is the world leader in coffee consumption and also one of the most water-rich countries in the world).
