Curated by Lasse Marc Riek and Bernd Herzogenrath, numerous artists from a wide ranghackedepicciotto support March 11th 2023hackedepicciotto support March 11th 2023e of disciplines have explored Ovid’s Metamorphoses, including such prominent figures as Lee Scratch Perry. The basic idea is transformation in connection with a creative “infection” and equally creative “protective measures”. The idea was to reflect ideas of injury, illness and healing. My starting point was the myth of Meleager & Althaea from the 8th book of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, which I altered with minimal means. My retelling then underwent numerous transformations in sound, image and film.
