Dirk Hülstrunk is sound poet and performer, writer and cultural activist based in Frankfurt, Germany. His work combines poetry, improvisation, and electronic sound art. Influences range from Dada, Surrealism, Fluxus and Beat poetry to contemporary electronic sound poetry. Hülstrunk works with various mediums and frequently collaborates with artists from various fields. His poems have been translated into nine languages. He has been active in the spoken word scene since the 1990s and is considered one of the pioneers of the Poetry Slam movement in Germany, hosting poetry events since 1996. He published his newest poetry collection When repetition stops you are dead in 2025.
Běla Čápová is guitarist, poet and teacher. She graduated with a degree in ethnology from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University and studied guitar at the Teplice Conservatory. She currently teaches at an elementary arts school. She is part of the musical project Lev Andule, performing together with Antonín Pevala. Her debut collection Cucat vnitřní mňau was published by Malvern in 2024.
Jaromír Typlt is Czech poet, essayist, performer, arts curator and editor. He studied Czech literature and philosophy at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. From 2000 to 2010, he worked as a curator of photography and contemporary art exhibitions at the Malá výstavní síň and later at the U Rytíře Gallery in Liberec. Since the late 1990s, he has helped promote the work of overlooked artists; he published the first book on Zdeněk Koška (2001), as well as literary texts by Hana Fousková, František Novák, and many more. In 2018, he began collaborating with the Altán Art association and serves as curator of the Art Brut Prague gallery, which focuses on “art in its raw state.” He has published six poetry collections and has he received the Jiří Orten Award for his collection Ztracené peklo in 1994.
