Memphis Mutations – Elvis Experiments 16.8.2026

Elvis as a sound poet? Rock ’n’ Roll loops? Elvis and experimental music? I’m excited to be part of the “Memphis Mutations” project as part of the European Elvis Festival in Bad Nauheim, alongside many fascinating colleagues from the experimental music scene.

Memphis Mutations – Elvis Reimagined

Sunday, August 16, 2026
4:30 p.m.
Johanneskirche
Auguste-Viktoria-Straße 14
61231 Bad Nauheim

Advance tickets: €7

Seven very different musical acts approach the cultural phenomenon of Elvis Presley in creative and surprising ways. Using electronics, acoustic instruments, voices, and sound recordings, they create entirely new interpretations of his greatest songs—inspired by Elvis and his time in Bad Nauheim.
A special highlight is the sound walk with Waldlust: Starting at 2:30 p.m., participants will gather sounds from Bad Nauheim together, which will then be incorporated live into the concert and become part of the musical performance.
